Who it is for

  • You sell, and you need a shop built for the first time.
  • You are on Shoptet or another off-the-shelf platform and you have reached its limits.
  • You have a shop, but people reach the basket and do not order.

What it includes

  • A checkout tuned for conversion, not for effect
  • Payments, delivery and stock systems connected
  • Fast even with a large catalogue
  • Measurement from day one, so you know what happens in the shop
  • Variants, filters and search people actually use
  • Orders passed through to invoicing and to your own system
  • Mobile first, because that is where most orders come from

What it involves.

An online store where shopping just flows: a fast catalog, a clear cart and a checkout with no unnecessary steps. Payments, shipping and inventory wired to fit your process, not the other way around.

The biggest difference between shops is not the catalogue, it is the checkout. Every extra step and every field nobody wants to fill in takes a slice of the orders. That is where I look first, and it is why revenue on a finished shop can often be raised without adding a single product.

The second thing is what the shop has to talk to. Payment gateway, carriers, stock, invoicing, sometimes the till in the shop. This decides the schedule far more than the number of products, so I ask about systems before I ask about design.

What the shop runs on

My own platform, Mayhem Commerce

In the works

Where Shopify is not the right fit, I will build the shop on my own platform. The website will be made to measure, and the catalogue, orders, returns, documents and XML feeds will run in the Mayhem Commerce admin. The platform is still in development.

  • A catalogue with categories, parameters and customer group prices
  • Orders from receipt to dispatch
  • Returns and complaints
  • Invoices, proforma invoices and credit notes
  • XML feeds for Heureka, Zboží.cz and Google Merchant

And like every client, you get Mayhem Portal: requests, hours, invoices and site statistics in one place.

More about the products

Common questions.

How long does a shop take?

From six weeks up. It depends more on how many systems have to talk to each other than on how many products you sell. Three payment methods and two carriers is different work from a link to your warehouse and the till in your shop.

Will you take over a shop that is already running?

Yes. I start with an audit of what works and what drags, and above all with redirects, so the search rankings do not collapse. A migration that forgets the redirects costs months of traffic.

My shop runs on Shoptet. Is moving worth it?

Often not, and I will tell you so. Moving pays off when you hit the limits of the template, pay for add-ons that do not talk to each other, or need an integration Shoptet cannot do. I start with an audit of the current shop and a map of its URLs, so the move does not lose your search positions.

Off-the-shelf platform or custom build?

Whichever makes sense. For Husky Outdoor I built the frontend on Shopify, elsewhere it is wiser to build the shop in Next.js. What decides it is what the shop has to talk to and how far it departs from the standard.

What about product photos and copy?

Either you prepare them or we arrange them. Expect this to be a bigger item than the build itself, especially with hundreds of products.
